Firefighters battle winds, house fire in Leavittsburg

WARREN TWP., Ohio (WKBN) –  Firefighters had some trouble Thursday afternoon with high winds.

They were sent to a home on the 3700 block of Snyder Road in Leavittsburg at 4 p.m. and spent a couple hours fighting the blaze. The fire chief said a family lives in the home, but no one was there when crews got there.

The high winds kicked up flames a few times, but crews were finally able to put it out.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
