Students were evacuated from Poland High School Friday because of a bomb threat.

POLAND, Ohio (WKBN) – Students at Poland Seminary High school were evacuated Friday morning following a bomb threat at the school.

Police were called to the high school after a student showed school officials a note she said she found in her locker that contained a bomb threat.

The building was evacuated and students were taken to Dobbins Elementary and the township administration building while officers with the Poland Township Police Department and a K9 bomb unit did a sweep of the school.

Students were back in class in by 9 a.m.

“Students and staff are always our utmost priority,” said Superintendent David Janofa. “School administrators will continue to investigate the source of the threat and proper disciplinary procedures will be followed. Poland school will not tolerate these types of disruptions, and whoever is to blame will be held accountable.”
