CLEVELAND (AP) – A Cleveland city commission has approved plans to put an LED sign on top of Quicken Loans Arena.
The sign will show the arena’s name and may include a logo.
The Cleveland Cavaliers hope to have the sign installed on the roof before the NBA playoffs are over.
The arena will also host the Republican National Convention this summer.
Cleveland.com (http://bit.ly/1Pj0yXD ) reports members of the Cleveland City Planning Commission unanimously approved the sign on Friday.
The Cavaliers will pay to erect and maintain the sign. Team owner Dan Gilbert is the founder and chairman of Detroit-based Quicken Loans.
