Eagle Scouts and Boy Scout leaders are recognized at a dinner in Boardman.

BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Whispering Pines District Boy Scouts held its recognition dinner Sunday night in Boardman.

Two men were acknowledged for 50 years of service.

“Fifty years means not only have you had your own children come through the program, but you love the program so much that you stood around with us for all of those years,” Russell said.

Fifteen individuals became Eagle Scouts and also received recognition.

“Having the Eagle Scout on that resume for college applications or for that job, will separate him or her,” said Chairman John Russell.

Several other awards were given out, including training and badge presentations and the district award of merit.
