Key Returnees: This spring, the cupboard is far from bare with a strong senior and junior class. Seniors Bailey Slyk (.365 avg, 24 Rs, 18 RBIs), Cody Cykon (.383 avg, 18 RBIs), Jake Walters (.400 avg, 29 RBIs), Rem Rable (.303 avg, 21 Rs) all return. Among the juniors, Michael Turner had a fantastic sophomore campaign which saw him lead the team in almost every statistical category. Joining Turner from his class is Lucas Nasonti (.329 avg, 7 2Bs, 23 RBIs, 32 Rs), Keith Forrest (.375 avg), along with newcomers R.J. Smith, Aaron Williams, Jarred Dodril, and Justin Taninecz.

Outlook: The defending 2015 All-American Conference Blue Division champions don’t seem to be back pedaling. “(We have) a very competitive group of young men,” says coach Rick Yauger. “We’ll have above average team speed (with players) capable of hitting for average and power throughout the lineup.” Yauger also points out that there is plenty of pitching, young but gifted. “Our numbers are down but a good group of athletes capable of playing multiple positions,” Yauger comments. “Players will have adjust to new positions and gel as a team.”
