MOUNT PLEASANT, Pa. (AP) – A 14-year-old boy has been charged with killing a 13-year-old boy at a home in western Pennsylvania.
The Westmoreland County coroner and Mount Pleasant police aren’t releasing the victim’s name. But online court records show they’ve charged 14-year-old John Burnsworth with criminal homicide and illegal possession of a firearm by a minor.
Police haven’t detailed the circumstances of the shooting which occurred before 7 p.m. Sunday.
Mount Pleasant is about 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
Online court records don’t list an attorney for the suspect who has been sent to the county jail without bond and faces a preliminary hearing March 31.
