Sharon Police: Woman arrested for box cutter assault

Police said Gibbs used a box cutter to slash the face and ear of another woman

Ivena Gibbs was arrested for a May 2015 incident, in which police said she sliced a woman's face with a box cutter. She faces aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person charges.

SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – A Sharon woman was arrested on Sunday in connection to a May assault in which police said she slashed a woman’s face with a box cutter.

Ivena Marie Gibbs, 28, is charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person for the incident on May 4, 2015. Police said the attack took place in the area of Quinby Street and Ravine Place.

The alleged victim required emergency medical attention at Sharon Regional Health System.

Gibbs was scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Monday.
