Key Losses: Replacing the a large senior class with the likes of Dalton Donachie, Hunter Snyder and Ryan Kohler will be a difficult task for first-year head coach Terry Dobson. Donachie threw 41 innings on the mound while accumulating a 2.39 ERA and a 4-4 record to go along with his 56 strikeouts. Dalton also helped his cause by batting .378 (28-74) and finishing last Spring with 29 RBIs. Snyder led the team in almost every offensive category including batting average (.487), hits (38), RBIs (38) and extra base hits (16). Kohler utilized his speed to steal 14 bases and score a team-leading 36 runs.

Key Returnees: Juniors Russ Seymour (1B/P) and Steve Ranelli (C/2B) will both back in the fold this Spring. Seymour saw extensive action pitching as a sophomore. He threw 30 1/3 innings, while starting 5 games and compiling a 2-0 mark on the hill. Opponents were able to only hit a .142 batting average while fanning 28 times against Seymour. Sophomores Brandon Walters (1B/OF/P) and John Ritter (C/3B/1B) return after seeing time as freshmen. Walters finished the season with a .929 fielding percentage and only made 5 errors in 69 chances. Ritter also was effective in the field as he posted a .909 fielding percentage.

Outlook: Coach Terry Dobson replaces Matt Weymer, who took the same position at Ursuline. In five-seasons, Weymer tallied 101 wins and a pair of state runner-up finishes. Dobson points out that the Tigers will be inexperienced and young with only three seniors on the roster (Nino Esposito, Andy Sodergren, Nathan Sommers). However, on their 25-man roster, 12 are sophomores or freshmen.
