Al Beach Classic Showcases Local Talent

Boardman, OH (WKBN) – Mahoning and Trumbull counties collided Wednesday in the 46th annual Al Beach Classic at Boardman High School.

It was another close game for the schoolboy classic, with Trumbull County squeaking out the win, 97-95 over Mahoning. Niles’ Cameron Kane-Johnson scored a game-high 18 points and took home MVP honors. South Range’s Preston Stitt also scored 12 points for the Mahoning side.

In the three point competitions, Mathew’s Bryan Oatridge won the title, while Howland’s Tori Rappach won the girls competition.
