NEW CASTLE, Pa. (WKBN) – A New Castle man is in the Lawrence County Jail facing attempted rape charges.

Police charged 18-year-old Lierre Holland after an 18-year-old woman said he forced his way into her house, slapped her and dragged her to a bedroom and tried to have sex with her.

The woman said Holland jumped out of her bedroom window when he heard a family member arrive at the house.

The woman said Holland threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
