SHARON, Pa. (WKBN) – An email was sent Wednesday from Quaker Steak and Lube in Sharon to its customers enrolled in email communications. The email indicated that the franchise’ss bankruptcy proceedings are over and the Lube has a new owner.

A bankruptcy court approved the sale of the Quaker Steak and Lube franchise to Travel Centers of America, according to the email.

Quaker Steak filed for bankruptcy in November. Travel Centers will now take over operations, including its customer database.

There are more than 50 Quaker Steak and Lube restaurants across the country. Travel Centers of America offered $25 million to purchase the franchise.
