HOWLAND TWP., Ohio (WKBN) – A new pizza shop will make its home at the Eastwood Mall Complex.
Rise Pies, which has a location in Boardman, will open in the Howland Commons section of the complex this summer. The restaurant will be located next to Bloomberg Optical and One Hot Cookie, just north of Texas Roadhouse, according to a news release from the Cafaro Company.
Rise Pies offers “Build Your Own” pizza, in which customers can choose from doughs, sauces, cheeses and other toppings. The pizza is then baked in just 160 seconds.
In addition to pizza, Rise Pies will also serve meatballs, salads and desserts, with plans to offer beer and wine in the future. An additional outdoor patio area will provide seating for warm-weather dining, and carry-out service will also be available.
Rise Pies is owned by The Muransky Companies and started from a collaboration with Executive Chef Vernon Cesta and Operations Manager Ed Moses, founders of Vernon’s Cafe Ristorante in Niles and V2 Trattoria and Wine Bar in Youngstown.
Since the opening of its Boardman location in September 2014, Rise Pies opened five more locations — in Florida, Illinois, Colorado and Georgia.
The Eastwood Mall location will be the only one in Trumbull County, and Rise Pies plans to open six additional 2016 locations across the U.S., adding 20 locations by the end of 2017.
