Dr. Scott Weingart, interim superintendent at West Branch Local Schools, said the student posted that he was going to bring a gun to school on Thursday. The district was notified of the threat at 8 p.m. Wednesday and immediately contacted the school resource officer who works for the Goshen Township Police Department, according to an email from Weingart.

The student was arrested, and a message was sent to all students, parents and staff. He was charged with aggravated menacing and inducing panic and was scheduled to be arraigned Thursday on the charges.
