Head Coach: Ed Anthony, 7th season (114-41-2)
2015 Record: 23-6 (11-1), ITCL Lower Tier

More: High School Baseball previews from other teams

Key Losses: The Blue Devils lost a large amount of seniors to graduation last spring (John Clegg, Zach Smith, Evan Nesbitt, Ian Hames, Tommy Woolf).

Key Returnees: Wyatt Larimer (IF/P) returns after posting a 13-0 mark on the hill and a 1.14 ERA over the past two seasons. Jacob Clark (IF/P), Jeep DiCiccio (IF/P), Lance DeZee (OF/P), Ryan Demsky (IF/P), Karl Klockenga (OF), Walker Marlowe (IF/P), Logan Matas (OF), and Drew Slaven (IF) will be asked to continue Reserve’s tradition of winning during the 2016 season. Clark hit .354 last year while Marlowe accounted for a .350 average. DiCiccio pitched in with a .320 batting average as Slaven hit .290. Newcomers to the varsity program include Kyle Hillis (OF), Justin Ciccone (IF), Dallas Smith (OF) and Dylan Smith (C).

Outlook: Western Reserve has won the league, sectional, and district championships in three of the past four seasons. The Devils return experience at the skill positions, a lot of speed and pitching. That’s a recipe for success. Can they make it back to the Final Four for the third consecutive year? Reserve’s season gets underway at Columbiana on March 31.
