SEBRING, Ohio (WKBN) – A Mahoning County grand jury indicted a man Thursday, charging that he physically abused the daughter of his significant other in Sebring.

Matthew Prendergast is charged with endangering children, a second-degree felony.

Mahoning County Assistant Prosecutor Jen McLaughlin said that Prendergast excessively disciplined the daughter of the woman he was in a relationship with, leaving bruises on the girl.

Mahoning County court officials did not immediately respond to a request for more information.
