SCRIPT – The American Cancer Society

(At high school)
(Student handing out flyers and putting flyers in students lockers)

Student #1: “Please come support the American Cancer Society walk foundation!”

(Students walk past him/her)
(Student #1 continues to walk down the hall with the flyers)
(Student #1 hands flyer to another student)

Student #2: “What is this for?”

Student #1: “It’s for the American Cancer society, we need more people to walk and support the event.”

Student #2: “Oh okay, I’ll see if I can come.”

Students #1: “Okay, thanks.”

(Student #2 walks away)

(The next morning)

Announcer: “Please come to the starting line, the walk is about to begin.”

(Student #1 looks around and does not see any of her classmates)

Student #1: “I better head to the finish line, I don’t see anyone coming.”

(Someone taps student #1 on the shoulder… turns around)

Student #2: “Sorry, I’m late, I had to pick us some of my friends.

(Student #1 looks shocked…him/her whole school stands in the background)

Student #1: “Okay everyone the race is about to begin, line up at the starting line”

(Looks to student #2) “Thank you for your support, this really means alot to me.”

Student #2: “No problem, these are the people who need our support the most.”

One of our eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer throughout their lifetime. Help support those people struggling with cancer by joining Relay for Life and together we can bring an end to cancer.
