YMCA Observes Good Friday with breakfast

People from Poland, Youngstown and around the Valley came together on Good Friday, the day when Christians remember Jesus' death on the cross

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Downtown YMCA observed Good Friday this morning with a special breakfast service.

Nearly 700 people enjoyed a buffet style meal from Sandy’s Deli, followed by music and singing.

Sean Kelly, lead pastor of Greenford Christian Church, delivered the message.

Poland High School junior and YMCA employee Alyssa Morucci provided music.

Community leaders like YSU President Jim Tressel and Youngstown Police Chief Robin Lees were in attendance.

The program was sponsored by the YMCA’s Spiritual Leadership Committee.
