YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Students and faculty joined a training Friday on campus to learn more about resources that are available for those who are experiencing distress.

Local doctors spoke about suicide prevention and ways to plan during crisis, hoping students will become more aware of mental health concerns that happen on campus.

“You know these students are affected, this is a high-stress environment, this is a transitional environment, it’s ok to seek help, it’s ok to talk about the mental health distresses they are feeling,” YSU student Jennifer Outland said.
