Crash leaves 2 cars overturned in Ellsworth Twp.

The accident happened around 1 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Ohio State Route 45 and N. Palmyra Rd. in Ellsworth Township.

ELLSWORTH TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A two-car accident in Ellsworth Township Monday left two cars flipped over.

The accident happened around 1 p.m. Monday near the intersection of Ohio State Route 45 and N. Palmyra Road in Ellsworth Township.

The crash involved a pick-up truck and a mid-sized passenger vehicle. Ohio State Highway Patrol, which is investigating the crash, said the passenger vehicle failed to yield at the stop sign while traveling on N. Palmyra Road.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Shelly London, of Newton Falls. She was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries.

A child in the vehicle was flown to Akron Children’s Hospital and is in critical condition.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Martin Poschner, Jr., of Youngstown, had minor injuries due to the crash.

No charges have been filed at this time, and the crash is still under investigation.
