BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — In the first few months of 2016, there have been more firearms seized than in the entire year of 2015, with officers confiscating yet another on Monday.

Officials say officers stopped to investigate further a laptop bag, only to find a loaded nine millimeter gun with six bullets inside. It’s not yet known if the man will face charges, but attempting to bring a gun in a carry-on is illegal and punishable by charges and fines of up to $11,000.

The seizure is the third such loaded handgun seized in March alone — only two firearms were seized in all of 2015.
