WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren woman is incarcerated on drug trafficking and weapon-related charges after a traffic stop Saturday on Washington Street.

An officer pulled the vehicle over for a rear plate light that wasn’t working. An officer observed the driver moving around in the driver’s seat, as if attempting to hide something, according to a Warren police report.

A passenger in the vehicle, 34-year-old Deltonio Dorsey, of Warren, was arrested on a warrant for previous charges of driver’s license required and playing of radios and other sound devices in motor vehicles restricted, according to jail records.

Police said the driver, 30-year-old Doris Brantley, of Warren, was uncooperative during an attempted pat down for weapons. She walked toward the front of the vehicle, despite orders to put her hands on the side of the car, and a loaded semi-automatic pistol fell from her pant leg onto the ground, according to the report.

Police said Brantley was also found to be hiding several crack cocaine rocks, as well as heroin, packaged for sale in her pant leg.

Brantley was charged with two counts of trafficking, and one count each of carrying a concealed weapon, tampering with evidence and obstructing official business.

Brantley was arraigned Monday, and she pleaded not guilty to the charges. She is being held in Trumbull County Jail with no bond, and a hearing was set for 1:30 p.m. April 7 in Warren Municipal Court, according to court records.
