Ursuline’s Kenneally doubles; pitches a complete game against McDowell

Ursuline will play at St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday.

MYRTLE BEACH, South Carolina (WKBN) – Jordyn Kenneally tossed a five-hitter, striking out 10 and walking just two, as her Lady Irish topped Erie McDowell 3-1 in the Myrtle Beach Grand Strand Tournament.

Kenneally also contributed at the plate as she had a two-run double in the bottom of the first. A pair of hits were had by Cassandra Hanuschak and McKenzie Shells. Ursuline completed their three-game set in Myrtle Beach with a 2-1 record.

Erie McDowell’s pitcher Rachel Marsden threw six innings as she struck out six and walked none. Marsden had one of the three Trojans’ doubles. The other two were by Emily Samluk and Lauryn Rougeux.

On Saturday, Ursuline will play at St. Thomas Aquinas at 1 pm for a single game on April 2.
