YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown Junior Phantoms took on the Youngstown Boom Saturday at the Ice Zone in Boardman, but they used ice sleds to compete in this game.

The Boom is a team of players with disabilities, while the Junior Phantoms don’t normally play on sleds.

“The Junior Phantoms team has been a wonderful support all season long. They help us out at our practices,” said Courtney Kurth of Adaptive Sports Program of Ohio. “They’ve really been thrilled to try the experience of hockey in a sled.”

The Boom play every Sunday at the Ice Zone.
