YPD: Man shot in Youngstown

The shooting occurred early Saturday morning in the parking lot of Afro Dogs on Gibson Street

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police are investigating a shooting Saturday morning after a 19-year old man showed up with a gunshot wound at Saint Elizabeth’s around 5 a.m.

A witness to the shooting was at Afro Dogs on Gibson Street with the victim, and said there were no confrontations that night. He told police that they were sitting in their car in the parking lot when the suspect started shooting at it.

The witness described the suspect as a black male, about 5’8″ and 150 lbs, wearing black and red clothing.

Police reported finding one shell casing in the parking lot, one bullet hole through the rear driver’s side window, and another hole in the left backseat.

Police say that the victim is in stable condition.
