Lane restrictions set on I-80 in Mercer County

Restrictions are set for both the east and westbound lanes

In the U.S. state of Ohio, Interstate 80 (I-80) runs across the northern part of the state. Most of the route is part of the Ohio Turnpike, with only an 18.78-mile (30.22 km) stretch not being on the toll road.

MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (WKBN) – Lane restrictions are in place along a stretch of Interstate 80 in Mercer County.

Traffic is down to one lane for a one-mile stretch eastbound between Exit 4 A/B (New Castle, Sharon, Hermitage) and exit 15 (Mercer). Interstate 80 westbound is restricted to one for a five-mile east of the Pennsylvania/Ohio line.

The restrictions will continue through this week and are in place between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m.  The restrictions are expected to be lifted Friday.
