YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating a shooting after a man showed up at the Youngstown Police Department and said he was shot at on the city’ south side.

The man said he was driving Saturday about 1:45 p.m. on East Lucius Avenue, near Southern Boulevard, when three shots were fired into his car. one of the bullets grazed his head, according to a police report.

The victim then went to the Youngstown Police Department and notified officers.

Investigators went to the scene of the shooting, but did not find anything. They did note that the victim’s car had two bullet holes in the windshield and one in the left side door window.

The victim initially refused medical treatment, but told officers later that he had gone to Northside Medical Center to get checked out.
