Bristolville man appears in court, charged with beating girlfriend

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A man who police say got drunk and beat up his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day was in court Tuesday morning.

Molder Belden was indicted by a Mahoning County grand jury in late March.

He was arraigned Tuesday morning on charges of kidnapping, felonious assault, domestic violence, and abduction.

His girlfriend told police the couple went out, he had several drinks, and then he punched and choked her when they got back to their hotel room in Austintown.

Belden is from Bristolville.
