YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – For the first time in many months, Youngstown-Warren drivers are seeing gasoline priced at over $2 a gallon.

A number of gas stations in Youngstown, Boardman, Salem and East Liverpool are charging $2.10 for regular grade gas. Despite that, the AAA average price for the Youngstown-Warren market early Tuesday morning was $1.97.

The least expensive gas according to the Gas Buddy website was on Warren’s northeast side, where stations had regular for $1.80. In one area of Austintown Township, $1.90 was a popular price.

Gas Buddy issued a Price Hike Alert on Monday, so the numbers are expected to keep increasing on Tuesday.

Despite the increases, Youngstown-Warren has the lowest prices of any metropolitan area in the state.
