WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Warren man, who police said was witnessed beating a woman on Parkman Road, was indicted on several charges by a Trumbull County grand jury.

Thomas Urey, Jr. is facing a felony domestic violence charge, as well as OVI, endangering children and driving under suspension charges.

Police were called to Parkman Road near McDonald’s in March after people reported that Urey hit a woman who was on the road and then shoved her back into the car. Police said Urey smelled like alcohol and denied any wrongdoing, saying the woman jumped out of his vehicle.

The alleged victim was covered in blood and had a lump on the side of her face, according to a police report. She couldn’t remember if she was assaulted, police said.

A young child was in the backseat of the vehicle when Urey was arrested.
