AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Thursday is a big day for the Austintown’s Braking Point Recover Center as it begins a new residential program.
The new residential facility has 34 rooms, and clients can now move from the one week detox center to the new center and stay for 28 days of treatment. There’s also a gym, computer room and plenty of places where relatives can visit on the weekends.
Ryan Sheridan, Braking Point Recovery Center’s owner, realizes the need for detox centers and believes this new one will help the community.
“I think it’s going to be successful because how many people want it. How many people check into our detox program every day and they’re hopeless and when they leave they’ve got a new outlook, they have a new desire, they have a new want,” Sheridan said.
The detox facility opened in September, and on Thursday, 16 people will be ready to move in.
