Fitch’s Logan Kusky chooses Notre Dame

Logan Kusky chooses Notre Dame

Austintown, OH (WKBN) Fitch senior Logan Kusky signed his National Letter of Intent to Notre Dame Wednesday morning. He will join the Irish’s Track and Field program

Kusky had offers from both the University of Pittsburgh and Ohio State but he says he picked the Irish for what they can do for him on and off the field… “I debated a lot between the other schools, but in the end I think Notre Dame offered me the best chance to succeed both academically and athletically. With a name like Notre Dame, they say you’re set for life. I’m hoping to have a great experience in college and really further myself there. I think they gave me the best opportunity to do that.”

Kusky broke a school record back in February with a toss of 77 feet 4 and quarter inches in the weight throw. The throw was the 2nd longest in the country this year, and earned him a spot in both the State and National Indoor Track and Field Championships.
