A non-profit agency targeting drug addiction is holding a membership drive Sunday.

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – A new group in Warren is holding a membership drive this weekend in support of Solace of the Valley.

The non-profit organization is targeting substance abuse victims and their families. The group recently expanded from the Trumbull County Solace chapter and is seeking new members.

The agency works as a support and referral resource for victims and families of drug addiction and has now created a board of directors, which is looking to impact legislation that would shine the spotlight on drug abuse in the Valley. Specifically, the group is hoping to gain community and legislative support for a needle exchange program and other services to help reduce the overdose rate in the county.

A membership drive will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at the Sahara Club II, A Community Recovery Center, 2345 Youngstown Rd S.E., Warren. Anyone interested in joining the group is encouraged to attend.

More information can be found at and on the group’s Facebook page.
