Youngstown drug bust leads to arrest

Youngstown Police executed a search warrant of a home on Helena Avenue

Freddie Robinson is charged with drug trafficking in Youngstown.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Youngstown Police charged a man with drug trafficking after finding various drugs and drug paraphernalia in his home.

YPD executed a search warrant of a home on Helena Avenue just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday. Officers reported finding crack, marijuana, thousands of dollars in cash, digital scales, pills, a handgun and other drug paraphernalia.

Freddie Robinson, 54, of Youngstown, faces several drug charges, having a weapon while under disability and tampering with evidence.

Police say the gun was stolen in September. They also say Robinson has a prior conviction for drug trafficking in 2003.

He is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
