HOWLAND TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WKBN) – A tractor trailer rolled over Friday on the Route 82 ramp to Route 11 southbound in Howland Township.

The accident happened about 12:20 p.m., but the ramp has since been re-opened.

The Route 82 westbound ramp to Route 11 southbound was closed for over four hours as crews worked to clear the accident.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the driver was hauling a 38,000 pound steel coil from Farrell to Twinsburg when he attempted to make the turn onto the ramp and tipped over. A trooper at the scene said speed was a factor.

The driver was not injured.

A portion of the side of the asphalt was damaged in the crash. Crews will be setting up barrels to divert traffic from that area of the road.
