Divas perform in Youngstown to benefit special needs kids

Proceeds from the show at the DeYor Performing Arts Center are going to the Creative Bridge Coalition

Maureen McGovern was one of the performers at the Valley Divas show at the DeYor Performing Arts Center.

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The Valley’s Divas faced off Saturday night for a good cause at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in Youngstown.

Maureen McGovern, a Youngstown native singer and Broadway actress, headlined the event celebrating the area’s talented women.

All of the featured performers including Sarah Turner, Leanne Binder, Sarah Jones, Maureen Collins and Sugar Joans, have ties to the Valley.

Proceeds from the show are going to the Creative Bridge Coalition, a non-profit that provides music-based programming for children with special needs.
