Crestview’s McDonough strikes out 13; Rebels top Springfield

Tomorrow, Crestview will welcome Springfield.

NEW MIDDLETOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Crestview’s Mike McDonough struck out 13 (walking none) and allowed just four base hits in the Rebels’ 3-0 victory over Springfield.

Crestview broke a scoreless tie in the top of the sixth as they scored all three of their runs. Devin Turvey drove in Joel Fitzsimmons on a sacrifice fly. Then, Kaden Davis scored on Caleb Hill’s double. Hill came around on an error to finish the scoring at 3-0.

The Tigers were paced by the pitching of Russ Seymour – who struck out 7, walked just one Rebel and allowed only six hits.

Tomorrow, Springfield will travel to Crestview.
