Kennedy Catholic softball drops another close one

KK Shannhouse had 3 hits and 2 RBI's but the Golden Eagles fell short, 7-5 to Commodore Perry Tuesday.

Hermitage, PA (WKBN) – The Kennedy Catholic softball team rallied in the 6th inning but came up short in a 7-5 loss to Commodore Perry Tuesday.

The Golden Eagles took an early 2-0 lead, thanks to RBI’s by KK Shannonhouse and Donique Marcella. Shannonhouse finished with 3 singles and 2 RBI. The Panthers took the lead later on one swing by Brittany Shrock, a 3 run homer to make it a 3-2 game.

Kennedy Catholic added two more runs in the top of the 6th to cut the deficit to 6-4, but Shrock finished things off for Commodore Perry (5-4) from the circle.

The Golden Eagles scattered 11 singles on the day, including two apiece from Raygen Fischer and Donique Marcella.

KC drops to 0-5 on the season and play at West Middlesex Wednesday at 4 PM.
