Niles improves to 11-2 after their win over Struthers

Niles will visit Brookfield on Thursday.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – Niles scored 5 in the third inning to give the Red Dragons’ an 8-3 advantage as they went onto a 9-4 win over Struthers to secure their 11th win of the season.

Marco DeFalco and Garrett Pitts each had two hits apiece. DeFalco had a double.

Niles’ Jaret Johnson went 6 innings allowing one earned run (total) and struck out 8 Wildcats.

For Struthers, Jake Kreibel (2) and Pat Carano (2) combined for four of the team’s nine base hits.

The Red Dragons (11-2) will travel to Brookfield on Thursday to face the Warriors. Struthers will Champion on Thursday on the road.
