Youngstown Bomb Squad investigates suspicious package in Steubenville

The Youngstown Bomb Squad was called out to the Fort Steuben Mall in Steubenville, Ohio to investigate what appeared to be a bomb.

STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (WKBN) – The Youngstown Bomb Squad was called out to the Fort Steuben Mall in Steubenville, Ohio to investigate what appeared to be a bomb.

A Macy’s employee opened a box of shorts and found the item that looked like a bomb in the package. The Youngstown Bomb Squad was called in to investigate at 9 a.m. Wednesday and determined that item was a hoax, sources say.

WTRF reported that the mall was evacuated during the investigation in which bomb-sniffing dogs were utilized.
