Police investigating PNC Bank robbery in Youngstown

The FBI and the Austintown Police Department were called to assist in the robbery investigation on South Meridian Road

Two suspects robbed a PNC Bank at gunpoint in Youngstown.

YOUNGSTOWN Ohio (WKBN) – Police are investigating a reported robbery at PNC Bank on South Meridian Road in Youngstown.

According to a police report, two suspects entered the bank just before 4 p.m. on Thursday.

The FBI says one suspect was armed with a shotgun and remained in the lobby, while the other jumped the counter and forcibly took money from an employee’s hand and several of the money drawers.

They say both suspects wore ski masks and gloves.

Investigators recovered a dark colored SUV that the suspects reportedly used to flee from the scene.

Neither suspect is in custody Thursday night. No one inside the bank was injured.

PNC is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification and prosecution of the robbery suspects.
