BOARDMAN, Ohio (WKBN) – A 14-year-old Boardman Center Middle School student was arrested and charged with abduction and assault.
Police said the charges stem from an incident on April 16, in which another Boardman teen reported that he was assaulted during a party after using drugs.
That teen was taken to Akron Children’s Hospital the following day for injuries he said he received during the party, where he and several others were smoking marijuana, according to a Boardman Police report.
He told police that the suspect punched him several times in the face and head, unprovoked, causing him to fall to the ground, where he was kicked several times. He said the suspect kept assaulting him, not allowing him to leave, and several boys at the party threw him into a creek and threw rocks, sticks and a metal pipe at him.
The teen told police he was then given an unknown “white pill,” to “make his headache go away.” He said the pill made him tired and dizzy.
The boy said he was eventually taken home the next morning.
Police said the teen had injuries to his head, shins, hips, rib cage, back and face.
Police said the teen involved in the alleged assault was arrested at the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center in Youngstown, where he was being held on an unrelated matter.
