Garwood Cattle Company has room to expand after buying Copeland Hills Golf Course in Columbiana.

COLUMBIANA, Ohio (WKBN) – Garwood Cattle Company has room to expand after buying Copeland Hills Golf Course in Columbiana.

The winning bid was $695,000 at an auction on Tuesday.

The court-ordered public auction is the result of a foreclosure suit against former owner, Copeland Group LLC. The sale will pay off the taxes owed first, and any remaining proceeds will go to satisfy the mortgage and cleanup the title for the new buyer.

The minimum bid of $500,000 was quickly surpassed in the bidding.

Garwood feels the property is a nice fit for its operation, giving the cattle room to roam and having tall trees for shade.
