Armed Robbery, Shooting Generic

WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Warren Police say someone broke into and fired a gun inside a duplex on Second Street SW.

Officers responded to a call on Monday around 10:30 p.m.

The caller, who was next door at the time, told police she heard about eight gunshots and saw a white vehicle backing out of the driveway. She could not recall the make or model of the car.

The man who lives in the duplex was sleeping on the couch when the incident occurred, according to a police report.

He told officers that the gunshots woke him up but by the time he got up from the couch, the suspect was gone.

Police observed a side door that was kicked in and a window with two separate bullet holes. They also noticed two entry points in the kitchen; one through a table and another through the wall.

Officers collected a total of six shell casings from the scene.

The resident said he didn’t have any information on a motive for the shooting.
