Niles defeats Hubbard; notches 20th win

Niles will play at Eastwood Field tomorrow against Lakeview at 4:30 pm.

HUBBARD, Ohio (WKBN) – Niles registered their 10th win in a row by defeating Hubbard, 11-6. Jaret Johnson, Garrett Pitts, Damien Coleman and Tyler Srbinovich all had two hits. Johnson hit a homerun and scored 3 runs. Pitts also crossed home plate three times, too.

Corbin Foy started the game for the Red Dragons as he went 5 innings, allowed 3 earned runs and struck out 7. Brandon Weida finished the contest by pitching the sixth and seventh innings (3 Ks, 1 H, 0 ER).

Each of Hubbard’s first eight hitters all had a base hit. Ryan Love had a double and Brett Lopuchovsky scored two runs.

Tomorrow, Niles (20-2) plays Lakeview at Eastwood Field at 4:30 pm followed by a matchup with Champion at 6:30 pm.

Hubbard will play host to Brookfield.
