WARREN, Ohio (WKBN) – Hundreds walked around Courthouse Square in downtown Warren Friday night into Saturday for the annual Relay For Life.
The Warren Relay is one of the largest in Ohio. It started nearly 25 years ago and has been going strong ever since.
Participants turn out every year in hopes of finding a cure for cancer.
“We have a lot of the same people. We have all the teams here that come out to raise money,” said organizer Phil O’Hara. “We see a lot of survivors out here walking the track at 6:00. That’s what we are here for, that’s what it’s all about.”
The money raised will go to cancer research.
Warren’s Relay for Life runs until 6 p.m. Saturday.
