YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – The National Retail Federation says Mother’s Day spending is expected to reach over $22 billion this year, with an average of $172 being spent individually on mom.
A good chunk of that change is spent on dining.
Mothers across the Valley had the day off from making dinner as families took them all over town.
“Throughout the day we should have about 400 people coming through. So it’s a great day, it’s a beautiful day to bring your mom down, enjoy dinner and let her relax. It’s a beautiful room,” said Jeff Chrystal, executive chef at Overture Restaurant.
Overture featured a packed menu with smoked meats, carving stations and much more.
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter where you are or what you eat, as long as you can show your appreciation toward Mom.
