Lisbon wins first Sectional title in 13 years

Lisbon will face Western Reserve on Tuesday from Cene Park.

LISBON, Ohio (WKBN) – Lisbon defeated Lowellville 4-1 to clinch their first sectional championship in thirteen years this evening at home.

Colin Sweeney and Marcus Nenichka both had two hits for the Blue Devils.

Noah Barnes pitched 6 innings for Lisbon as he allowed 5 hits and struck out 7 to register the win. Dave Toot and Marcus Nenichka closed out the game for the Devils by tossing the final frame.

For the Rockets, Jake Maszczak scored the team’s lone run. Tyler Barone started the contest as he went 3 2/3 innings, striking out a pair of Devils and allowing 5 hits. Anthony Petrovic finished the game for Lowellville by throwing 2 1/3 innings and allowed just 2 hits.

Lisbon (14-8) will take on Western Reserve (18-4) at Cene Park at 4 pm on Tuesday.
