A new drop-in daycare center opens near the Eastwood Mall in Niles.

NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – A new daycare center that gives parents the opportunity to drop off their children without a reservation opened in Niles last Friday.

The Oasis Drop-In Learning Center is located in the Great East Plaza by the Eastwood Mall.

Co-owner Heather Sensabaugh says it’s ideal for parents who are in a pinch and need someone to watch their children for a few hours.

They just have to pay a one-time registration fee and, depending on the age of the child, anywhere from $5 to $7 an hour. The center will also offer discounts for families with multiple children.

“It’s a new concept for this area. I think it’ll be successful and I really hope that…we will expand to areas like Boardman,” Sensabaugh said. “We chose this area because of the growth that we’re noticing in and around the Eastwood Mall.”

Kids ages 3 to 12 can stay at Oasis for up to four hours for 30 days in the calendar year.

The Oasis Learning Center is open Monday through Thursday 1 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
