Repeat OVI offender indicted after latest drunken driving charge

AUSTINTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – A Newton Falls man, charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated  for the eighth time, has been indicted on three counts of OVI with repeat offender specifications.

Joseph Rutherford was arrested April 3 after Ohio State Highway Patrol pulled him over on Interstate 80 in Austintown. Troopers said Rutherford did not stay in his lane and was found to be intoxicated after an investigation.

He was arraigned the following day in court and was ordered not to drive a vehicle.
