NILES, Ohio (WKBN) – The Niles Police Department is investigating a theft at the Cricket Wireless kiosk at the Eastwood Mall.

The thefts occurred some time after the store closed on Sunday.

Surveillance video captured two people ducking behind the counter and trying to open a locked drawer, while two others kept an eye out nearby.

Manager Jimmy Julian said the thieves took off with roughly $5,000 worth of smartphones.

“It was wrong what they did, and obviously, they should find it in themselves to turn themselves in and return the phones,” he said.

If you have any information or know who the suspects may be, you’re asked to call the Niles Police Department at 330-652-9944.
